OUR STORY
Our love for escape rooms began 13 years ago when we played our very first room, The Tomb Egyptian Adventure in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with our then young son. We immediately fell in love with the immersiveness, the challenge, and the world building of that first experience. It hooked us right away and sparked something that never really went away.
Over the years, we played many more escape rooms, each one offering new puzzles, new adventures, and new stories. Every room made us feel like the protagonists in a movie, stepping into a world where teamwork, creativity, and problem solving mattered. Each experience deepened our appreciation for what escape rooms could be.
In 2024, while driving home from Orlando after completing several more escape rooms, I said to my wife, almost offhandedly, “Let’s open our own escape room.” Instead of telling me I was crazy, she immediately said yes. We began exploring the idea of opening a traditional brick and mortar location, but it quickly became clear that the cost would be overwhelming.
One fateful afternoon, while playing another escape room at Escape Me in Orange Park, we started chatting with the manager about building an escape room and possibly speaking with the owner to kick around some ideas. That conversation changed everything. He told us the owner was selling the mobile business portion of the company and offered to put us in contact.
A few days later we met the owner, fell in love with the mobile escape room concept, and decided to take the leap and buy the business. Today, Escape Me Mobile is a family run company operated by myself, my wife, and our son, who is now our programmer, webmaster, and tech guru. What started as a family adventure years ago has grown into a passion driven business built on immersive experiences and shared excitement.
